Kimberlie E. Prior
FPPTA Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Kimberlie Prior has been a dedicated leader within the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association (FPPTA) for over 30 years, playing a pivotal role in its evolution into one of the most prominent statewide educational organizations for public pension trustees and administrators. She was appointed Deputy Executive Director in 2002, promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2007, and named Chief Executive Officer by the FPPTA Board of Directors in 2014.
Throughout her tenure, Ms. Prior has led numerous initiatives that have shaped the FPPTA’s operations and long-term success. Her leadership has been instrumental across a wide range of responsibilities—from website development to overseeing the organization’s financial, accounting, and administrative functions. She manages all aspects of FPPTA operations, including the planning and execution of the association’s three annual educational conferences. Her role also includes contract negotiations with host hotels, vendors, and service providers, as well as oversight of staff and strategic partners.
In 1997, Ms. Prior was a driving force behind the development and launch of the FPPTA’s signature Certified Public Pension Trustee (CPPT) designation program—a nationally recognized credential of which she is also a graduate. She also helped establish the FPPTA’s Annual Wall Street Program and, more recently, the Trustee Leadership Council, both designed to advance the continued education of certified trustees.
Ms. Prior’s unwavering commitment, visionary leadership, and deep institutional knowledge have been essential to the FPPTA’s mission of promoting education, professionalism, and excellence in public pension governance.
