Public Pension Institute (PPI)
The Public Pension Institute was created by the Florida Public Pension Trustees Association to provide outreach and education online. It has been designed to offer information to everyone who works with public employees: not just trustees, but city commissioners, mayors, finance managers and administrators. News, reports, legislative updates, and an ever expanding archive of video lectures and presentations from FPPTA events and members.

National Pension Education Association (NPEA)
A national organization of public retirement systems that focuses on educating members about the importance of and the need for retirement planning.

The National Association of State Retirement Administrators (NASRA)
The organization was founded in 1955 and its members are the directors of the state and (largest) territorial retirement systems in the country. It is a non-profit organization that tracks data and trends from around the nation. NASRA members come from pension plans holding $3.8 trillion on behalf of more than 15 million working and 8 million retirees of state and local government.

The National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS)
The National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) is the largest trade association for public sector pension funds, representing more than 550 funds throughout the United States and Canada. It is a unique non-profit network of trustees, administrators, public officials and investment professionals who collectively manage nearly $3 trillion in pension assets held in trust for approximately 21 million public employees and retirees — including firefighters, law enforcement officers, teachers, and other public servants.

Center for Retirement Research at Boston College
Recognized by the New York Times as “…the nation’s leading center on retirement studies,” our research covers any issue affecting individuals’ income in retirement. Our main areas are: Social Security, state and local pensions, health/long-term care, financing retirement, and older workers. The Center’s work goes beyond economics. We study the behavioral factors that drive individuals’ decisions so we can craft solutions that work in practice, not just in theory.

The National Institute on Retirement Security is a non-profit research and education organization established to contribute to informed policy making by fostering a deep understanding of the value of retirement security to employees, employers, and the economy as a whole.
