Sawgrass Asset Management, a 100% employee-owned firm in Jacksonville, FL, seeks to hire an experienced institutional sales professional with a proven track record of success in institutional sales and relationship management.

Detailed Requirements: The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success in institutional asset management, new business development, and relationship management. A robust network of decision-makers and influencers on both the plan sponsor and consultant side that can be leveraged immediately is required. Must be able to work in a highly collaborative environment and demonstrate excellent presentation and communication skills. The search emphasizes the ability to track prospects through a sales process using the firm’s internal CRM and provide regular pipeline updates capturing prospecting and sales activity. The ability to utilize the firm’s sales tools, including insight into the firm’s product slide decks, is highly desirable. The candidate must be able to provide strategic insights on investment proposals, develop revenue projections and manage progress/reporting.

Qualifications: 7+ years of institutional sales experience with a successful and measurable track record of new business development. Expertise is required in identifying opportunities, developing sales strategies, and closing deals. Institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of the asset management industry is necessary. Must have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts. BS/BA degree is required. Extensive travel is necessary. Must be located in Jacksonville or be willing to relocate. Salary to be commensurate with experience.

 Job Description Summary

Professional mid-level work performing analytical activities of significant complexity that require independent and critical thought and problem definition and solution analysis and may require the review of work or direction of lower level Analysts. Positions allocated to this class report to a designated supervisor and work under general supervision. Work in this class is distinguished from other classes by the technical and independent nature of the research and analysis required.

A typical work day may include reviewing investment performance reports, and reconciling investment statements with pension fund accounting financials. Performing financial analysis and preparing financial reports including quarterly summaries. Compiling pension plan member statistical actuarial data and reconciling it with pension fund accounting data & financials.

Preference will be given to those candidates who possess:

  • Knowledge of investment securities, asset classes and financial analysis
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and financial principles and practices
  • Thorough knowledge of computers and relevant software including MS Excel and MS Access, knowledge of ERP systems including Workday, and the ability to apply knowledge in performing financial analysis, data reconciliation and reporting
  • The ability to communicate professionally and effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work effectively with elected officials, charter officers, department heads, representatives of other agencies, other City employees and the general public

 To qualify for this position you must possess:

  • A bachelor degree in business, finance, accounting or a related field, and three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in financial and/or operational analysis

Or

  • Seven (7) years of progressively responsible related analytical experience (with no degree)

Or

  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Salary 

$60,408.16 – $87,591.84 Annually

Tamarac Huma Resources Technician Position – Posted 11/23/20

Human Resources Technician

The City of Tamarac is looking for a dynamic Human Resources Technician to join our Human Resources team to assist with the City’s pension plans and additional administrative and technical support functions.

The position performs a variety of administrative and technical support functions in the Department of Human Resources.  Duties include assisting in the administration of the City’s pension plan(s), employee benefit and wellness programs and leave of absence approval and monitoring processes.   Work involves recognizing, preparing and typing minutes, ordinances, resolutions, memos, contracts, legal correspondence, and other documents, as well as maintaining system documentation, researching regulations, maintaining files, calendars, and schedules.  Answers telephone, receives visitors, and ensures efficient operation of the office.

Requires an Associate Degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration or related area supplemented by at least three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience.  Strong computer skills required.  Experience working in a human resources environment or handling human resources functions is preferred. Preferred experience with legal documents and records maintenance in a Human Resources, insurance, legal, wellness, or leave administration environment.  Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. Must demonstrate proficiency in computer software applications through the completion of a skills assessment exercise.
