Mr. Detwiler holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of South Florida and an M.S. in Finance from the University of Houston. He began his career in the investment industry in 1996, having worked at Franklin Templeton and Invesco prior to joining Garcia Hamilton & Associates, L.P. as a Fixed Income Analyst in 2007. He was promoted to Fixed Income Portfolio Manager in 2010 and named partner in 2016. He is responsible for the firm’s short duration strategies including Cash, Short Government, Opportunistic, and Short Government-Credit products. Mr. Detwiler is a CFA® charterholder, a member of the M.S. Finance Advisory Board for the University of Houston, and a CFA Society of Houston mentor.
